Accounts Payable Clerk - Phoenix, Arizona

Overview:

Fortis has an opportunity in our accounting department for an Accounts Payable Clerk.  This position is also expected to assist the accounting team with Accounts Receivable functions and other office administrative work. This position is located in our Phoenix corporate office.

Requirements:

  • Member of the team that is responsible for full cycle A/P.
  • Ability to handle large volume from multiple field offices and jobsites.
  • Receive, process, verify, and reconcile invoices on a daily basis.
  • Balance and reconcile credit card and vendor statements.
  • Process and track pre-liens and lien releases.
  • Communication with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Interacting with clients and working with all required governmental reporting functions.
  • Research and prepare management reports as directed.
  • Learn and advance in other functions within the accounting department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Attention to detail, thoroughness, organization.
  • Acquired skills and experience to complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
  • Working knowledge with all standard accounting procedures related to A/P functions.

Construction Contract Administrator - Phoenix, Arizona

Overview:

Fortis is looking for a Contract Administrator to join our expanding team. This position will be located at our corporate office in Phoenix. This job has the following responsibilities:

  • Manage the contract administration requirements for multiple projects at once.
  • Keep accurate records and logs in orderly system and maintain job files.
  • Interface with PMs, Supers, Subcontractors and clients with professionalism.
  • Assist in product and vendor support from bidding to closeout.
  • Create required submissions for projects under the direction of the PM for submittals, RFIs, notices and closeouts.
  • Assist PM with follow up for certified payrolls and billing requirements.

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational, communication, leadership and customer service skills.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented with system management skills.
  • Must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and be familiar with construction administration procedures and requirements.
  • Experience with government construction contracts a plus.
  • Knowledgeable with construction management software including Sage 300 Construction & Real Estate (formerly Timberline).
  • Required to pass drug test, background check and I9 screening.

Fortis is looking for an experienced Project Manager to work from our Phoenix corporate office. Some travel will be required. Our construction contracts range from small renovation and repairs to major multi-year projects involving all divisions. We are involved in hard competitive bid, select invited bid and negotiated bid work. This Project Manager will work out of our Phoenix office on projects throughout the Southwest USA.

Requirements:

  • Manage the entire process from subcontract award and submittals, QC thru construction to close out including all project paperwork, invoicing, schedules and site meetings.

Construction Quality Control Manager | Field Superintendent

Overview:

Fortis is looking for an experienced field level Quality Control Manager (QCM) | Superintendent to work on our projects. We work at military installations all over the country. Our construction contracts range from small renovation and repairs to major projects involving all divisions. This position will be based at our Bridgeport California., military base, and will be involved with projects in and around that base.

Requirements:

 

  • Manage the project QC thru the entire construction process to close out.
  • Responsible for all project required field paperwork including project daily logs, schedule changes, RFIs, red line drawing and project close outs.
  • Ability to build construction schedules, 3-week look aheads and make changes as needed.
  • Manage Safety, Quality Control and subcontractors to maintain project requirements and schedule.
  • Interface with clients and contracting officers to maintain positive relations on the site.
  • Good relationship and knowledge of local subcontractor base.
  • Strong knowledge of current pricing and values.
  • Subcontractor scheduling and problem solving.

Telecom | Cable | Fiber Field Technician - Denver, Colorado

Overview:

Fortis has an immediate opening for Telecom Field Technicians to work from our Denver Colorado office.
Some travel will be required. Projects are located in western states.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to read, understand and intrepid blue prints and work scopes.
  • Develop proficiency in primary skills of basic electricity, basic electronics, basic telephony, radio principles for CDMA and iDEN, and basic principles of digital transmission, fiber communication, data communication, telephony terminology, industry standards, and on-line network control/maintenance systems.
  • Able to follow detailed method of procedures (MOP) and practices to perform routine maintenance on all radio interface equipment.
  • Perform Service Assurance work on all radio interface network elements.
  • Interpret the alarm conditions on the network to proactively identify and implement repairs and restoration plans to ensure minimal service disruption and impact to customer.
  • Provide Service Delivery work installing new cell site equipment from channel card elements up to complete new cell site installs.
  • Proficiency with use of relevant wireless tools and test equipment.
  • Able to trouble shoot AC and DC power systems.
  • Installer Certification from one or more manufacturers like Panduit, Systimax Ortronics, Leviton preferred – BICSI certification not required, a plus, hiring preference will be given for current certifications.

  • Knowledge and experience troubleshooting and repairing voice and data lines.
  • Install, terminate and test copper cable (CAT-3 through CAT-6).
  • RAN, CDMA, LTE and Low Voltage experience preferred.
  • Use of network and cable test equipment, including the use of an ohm meter.
  • Mount termination hardware, backboards and racks.
  • Install raceway, cable trays and conduits as needed.
  • Learn and adhere to all required safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Ability to interpret construction requirements and prepare complete drawing and cost estimates.

  • Knowledge of low voltage systems and fiber optics helpful.

Requirements:

  • Must have current experience working as part of the Horizontal Boring Crew.
  • This is a field level position installing underground conduit and buried service wire, including digging trenches, pulling and terminating cables.
  • Must have experience installing underground conduit and cable.
  • Must have experience with operating boring missiles, trenchers, jack hammers, chop saws and pulling/terminating cables.
  • Must have experience with basic hand tools and any other tools needed to complete field work.

  • This is a field level position working on  Wireless network infrastructure such as In-Building DAS (iDAS), Small Cell, Outdoor DAS (oDAS), Cell Sites, CCTV/Security Camera systems, ISP (Inside Plant Fiber, CAT5/6, Coax), OSP (Outside plant ) fiber, performing upgrades, modifications, decommissioning at large construction sites, public venues, government and military facilities. Work includes pulling new cable (fiber, CAT5/6, Coax etc.), low voltage wiring, terminating, repairing and testing cable, mounting racks, installing equipment and other installation and removal work.
  • MUST HAVE VERIFIABLE EXPERIENCE IN TELECOM FIELD WORK, INSTALLATIONS and SERVICE.
  • Knowledge and experience troubleshooting and repairing voice and data lines.
  • Pull, install, and terminate connectors and test (CAT-3 through CAT-6) cable.

We work at locations all over the state and our fleet requires constant maintenance and repairs. Requirements:

  • Prior auto/truck mechanic experience required.
